Takbeer Tahrima

The excellence of joining the Salaat with the Takbir Tahrima is mentioned in the Hadith: Translation of Hadith: It is narrated on the authority of Hadhrat Anas Bin Malik (May Allah be well pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: Two things are written for the person who offers Salaat for the sake of Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) for 40 days with the Takbir Tahrima: 1) Safety from Hell. 2) Freedom from hypocrisy. It is Afdhal to say the Takbeer along with the Imam. If somebody joins the Salaat before the Imam goes into the Ruku, even then the excellence of Takbir Tahrima is acquired. Here, the Fuqaha (Islamic Law Experts) have clarified that whoever joins the Salaat in the 1st Raka’at (i.e. before or in Ruku) gets the excellence of the 1st Takbir. As given in Fatawa A’alamgiri, Vol. 1, Pg No: 69: Translation: About acquiring the excellence of Takbir Tahrima, the correct opinion is that whoever gets the 1st Raka’at, gets the excellence of Takbir Tahrima. And Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) knows best.
